Opinion on Charity
http://skateradio.com/ryan-sheckler-gives-away-pimped-out-range-rover/
This guy sold a range rover he had customized and gave the proceeds to charity, as well as organized some other donations. Now, I think that's all fine and dandy, but it's pretty easy for those who have money to sell an expensive, expendable posession and give away the proceeds (although it is still charitable). The article calls Ryan a hero. Is it true heroism to give when giving comes easy? Discuss.

Re: Opinion on Charity
I guess it's better than what poor people can give away. IDK. I guess you can't say he's not doing anything because he is raising money for them. Although Ryan is worth 15.5 million dollars, and he gives away his old ride that he was gonna get rid of anyway? What did he replace it with a Bentley?

That's how I feel. It's hard to recognize those that do much with little. I hate seeing celebrity worship when they already have enough attention. Rubs me the wrong way.

Re: Opinion on Charity
Well, he could have used it as a down payment on the Bentley but he chose to give it away because he could. I wish that I was in a position to not need to worry about a 50,000 $ car. If I was I'd probably find another charity or two as well to support.
